Once again. Amazing work. Any plans to do The Chronicles of Narnia?

Actually those are already in the works. :)

Love these--and looking forward to the Narnia covers.

You've got me wondering what the first HDM book would look like with the alternate title (The Golden Compass). But I do love the bear you have here with his armor.

Oh these are so wonderful. I am heartbroken that you won't be able to make prints. Any plans to make alternate covers for the Dark is Rising books?

Haven't read those, but I'm open to it.

Really great. love the repeating bar theme.

It would be funny to do book covers based on the book title jokes like:

# The French Chef
by Sue Flay

# Tight Situation
by Leah Tard

# Unemployed
by Anita Job

# Off to Market
by Tobias A. Pigg

# I Lived in Detroit
by Helen Earth

# Inflammation, Please
by Arthur Itis

# Handel's Messiah
by Ollie Luyah

and on and on. I'm sure you know many...

keep up the great work and hopefully they will publish them.

Ooo, that's clever. I may just have to do that.

These are awesome!!

I quite love them, the HP ones now being my desktop.

I'm looking forward to Narnia, and would love to see Lord of the Rings. These covers actually remind me a lot of the original covers, like this:

though I'd love to see what you'd come up with :)

I see you had some problems with selling the prints of your HP redesign, does that mean no prints of theses covers ether?

M. S. Corley said...

Since I was asked not to print the HPcovers due to infringes with rights/etc. I probably won't attempt printing the HDM or any other series I make, too much trouble really.

But thanks for the Interest.

I'm on book 4 of Narnia so keep checking back.

Like the penguin stuff, how about trying Lord of the Rings?

Would you consider uploading some of your covers in bigger and better solutions, so we can print them ourselfs??!

Ha I just signed up to Flickr to badger you about prints. Can I second what the other guy said and implore you to make these available for adoring fans to have. I'd love some of these on my wall. :) :) :)

Absolutely love them! The first one is especially elegant.

(Can't wait for the Narnia covers!)

Oooh, Narnia. My husband wants to see you do the Oz books. But there are 14 or 40 of those, depending on which definition you use...

I enjoyed all of your covers of series books, but your Subtle Knife is one of my favorites, I think.I'm amazed by the way you manage, with such simple lines and dots, to convey the knife cutting from one universe to the next.

I'm looking forward to the Narnia books. Have you considered doing covers for the two small HDM related tales, Lyra's Oxford and Once Upon a Time in the North? That would be a nice addition ( third one for Will is in the works and another collection called The Book of Dust is coming as well).

Thanks for the coolness.

I know about those other two HDM books, I just haven't gotten around to reading them yet... perhaps eventually.

I'm almost done reading the last Narnia book, so soon I will be able to finish up those covers!

Amazing covers. I love your style.

In fact, I like it so much I want to find out how you created the slightly distress/vintage look. It's very subtle, yet so effective.

A tip would make me a very happy camper :-)

Keep up the amazing work!

I love these - by far my favourite of your 'penguin' book cover designs. Shame you can't make prints of them.
