Have you ever read "The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein? if not, read it, it'll help. (with a box of tissues)
Yes, I read that a few months before she passed on. It was a tough read, plenty of tissues used.
Losing any kindred spirit is always a sad and difficult thing to overcome however there always be a part of her with you and yours with her too.
