I was about to choose the white one with the red bar because of it's simplicity, but then the red one with the white bar caught my eye because of how striking it is.Oh gosh. They are both lovely. I can't choose either.

I like the white background with the red outline. It draws more attention to the elephant and reinforces the title. Ironically, I think drawing attention to the vanishing elephant is more effective.
I vote white background with red stitched elephant. I don't think the elephant pops quite as much on the red cover. I agree though, both are awesome.
I've heard from booksellers that white covers don't sell. However, I think the white one is much more striking.
I go for the red background but they're both lovely. (Murakami, YES!)
Save your images as PNG-24 not JPEG and it should reduce the red pixelation.
